In this vision, “original sin” is not a moral fault but a cosmic event: the moment when consciousness separates from the Source in order to incarnate into matter. The forbidden fruit — traditionally an apple — becomes the sacred mushroom, symbol of Creation itself: the birth of form, the descent into space-time, the entry into the realm of duality. The mushroom is offered to Deva, the archetype of the pure soul still united with the divine dimension. When she accepts it, she does not fall into “sin,” but enters the density of physicality, which in this vision is represented as the “demon” — not an evil being, but the force of matter that envelops, limits, defines, and separates. The demon is nothing other than Creation forgetting the Source. Corruption is not wickedness: it is forgetfulness. It is the descent into form, the identification with the body and with personal history. Original sin thus becomes the zero-point of incarnation: the passage from the One into the Many. This reinterpreted myth does not narrate a fall, but the birth of the world.
